Ogden Marathon 2011

The Ogden Marathon is absolutely beautiful. So glad Mother Nature cooperated and provided such a pleasant day last Saturday. These landscape photos were taken by photographer Steve Conlin. (Stolen off facebook.)

We spent the morning cheering on our favorite runners.

My cousin, Julie:

Lacrosse friends from Utah State. And Amanda. Oh wait. . . that's not Amanda.

Randy and Sandy:

Like last year, there was a lot of emotion at the finish line. This year, there was some suspense too. We were all nervously watching the clock as we waited for Kate to come down the road. She qualified for the Boston Marathon!

I learned that sitting behind the barricades is actually a good thing. Because then the people next to you don't inch closer and closer, blocking your view.

Rachel and Lucy ran the Kids K, along with a bunch of their friends from the neighborhood.

We were really proud of Derrick (formerly a non-runner) who decided he wanted to run, trained (sometimes down Washington Boulevard at midnight), and performed well. We are looking forward to cheering him on at more races this summer.
